Meet our teachers!

Jamie Higgins Shaull (jhigginsshaull@bcps.org)

Jamie Higgins Shaull joined the Hereford social studies faculty in the 2013-14 school year as the department chair. Mrs. Higgins Shaull holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and School Library Media from Towson University. She currently teaches Advanced Placement Research (part of the AP Capstone program), US history, and Economics. Mrs. Higgins Shaull enjoys reading, traveling to the beach, renovating her home, and spending time with her husband Rob, sons Connor (5) and Brennan (3), and black lab Barkley.

Brittney Beer (bbeer@bcps.org)

Mrs. Beer is joining the Hereford High staff in the fall of 2018 for her 9th year as an educator. After spending four years at Chesapeake High School as the Library Media Specialist she realized that her heart was in the Social Studies classroom. Prior to her time at CHS, Mrs. Beer taught US History at Dundalk High School. Mrs. Beer holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in History from Lebanon Valley College and a Master’s Degree in Instructional Technology and School Library Media from Towson University. At Hereford Mrs. Beer teaches US History, American Government, and AVID 10. When she is not at school Mrs. Beer enjoys spending time with her husband, Eric, and two sons, Raymond & Reid. She also enjoys reading, rooting for Baltimore sports teams, and teaching her sons all they need to know about Harry Potter, Star Wars, and all other nerdy things (which is everything).

Sarah Crue (scrue@bcps.org)

Sarah Crue joined the Hereford Social Studies faculty in the winter of 2016 after graduating Mount Saint Mary’s University. Ms. Crue holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Studies Secondary Education, as well as a minor in English. Ms. Crue currently teaches AP Government and Politics, Government, and U.S. History. In her spare time Ms. Crue enjoys skiing, hiking, reading, and traveling. 


Caitlin Fisher

Caitlin Fisher is a graduate of Salisbury University with majors in History and Secondary Education. She is currently pursuing a graduate degree from Towson University in Educational Leadership. While Mrs. Fisher is new to Hereford for the 2019-2020 school year, she has 5 years of experience in secondary social studies within the BCPS system. Mrs. Fisher is a graduate of HCPS, in Fallston, and still resides there. Mrs. Fisher currently teaches Government and US History. In her spare time, Mrs. Fisher enjoys spending time with her son Shawn, preparing for her second baby boy, Grayson, and and her husband, Ethan. She also likes to read, is a competitive swimmer, teaches swim lessons, and is venturing into home improvement.


Rob Greenwood

Rob Greenwood is a graduate of Towson University with majors in History and Secondary Education. and he holds a graduate degree in Exercise Science/Physical Education from McDaniel College. Mr.Greenwood currently teaches AP Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Facing History, Economics, and Military History.  He enjoys baseball, snowboarding, guitar, SUP, and Florida summers. Mr. Greenwood is also an avid World War II enthusiast. He is the proud father of Makenzie and Jameson and his wife Jennifer is a mathematics professor at Carroll Community College.

Peter Imhoff

Peter Imhoff joined the social studies faculty in the 2008-2009 school year after teaching at Pikesville High School in Baltimore County for 11 years. Mr. Imhoff also taught social studies in Reading, Massachusetts and English in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Mr. Imhoff  holds a Bachelors Degree in History from Bowdoin College and a Master’s degree in Education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Mr. Imhoff currently teaches AP World History, World History, and AP Human Geography. He is the sponsor of the Student Congress Debate Club and the Chess Club. Mr. Imhoff is the father of two sons, Sam and Nick. He enjoys hiking, mountain bike riding, home improvement, and reading.

Nicole Maffei (nmaffei@bcps.org

Nicole Maffei joined the Hereford High Social Studies department in the Fall of 2016. Before that, she taught social studies at the middle school level for Baltimore County Public Schools. Mrs. Maffei holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Auburn University (War Eagle!) and a Masters of Art in Teaching from Towson University. Mrs. Maffei currently teaches AP US history, US history, and Government. In her spare time, Mrs. Maffei enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, and her adorable Scottish Terriers, Newton and Finnleigh. She also likes to read, spend time with friends, and go to sporting events with her family. 


Ed Martin

Ed Martin began his teaching career at Hereford in the Fall of 2014 after graduating from Salisbury University.  Mr. Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in History- Secondary Education and holds minors in Social Studies and Political Science.  He currently teaches AP World History, Government, and EPI.  In his spare time Mr. Martin enjoys golfing, going camping, reading and gaming.  He is also an Eagle Scout and remains active in the scouting program.


Nolan Roe (nroe@bcps.org)

Nolan Roe joined the Social Studies Department at Hereford High in the fall of 2017.  He has a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies from Loyola University Maryland.  Prior to working at Hereford, Mr. Roe worked for BCPS at Catonsville Middle School and Western Tech High School.  He is currently teaching World History, AP Psychology, and Abnormal Psychology.  Outside of school, Mr. Roe resides in Baltimore City, is an avid NBA fan, and enjoys traveling with his wife Bunnie and son Mason.

 

Terese Trebilcock (ttrebilcock@bcps.org


Terese Trebilcock has taught at Hereford High School since 1999.  She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Economics minor, and holds a Master of Public Policy degree, international emphasis, from the University of Michigan.  Prior to teaching, Ms. Trebilcock was an economic and political analyst at the Central Intelligence Agency.  Ms. Trebilcock currently teaches AP Economics, Economics, and World History GT.  She has been a reader for the AP European History exam since 2009.  Ms. T. and her husband, Craig, a criminal court judge and colonel in the US Army Reserves, have two sons, Aubrey and Joseph.  She enjoys reading, travelling, and needlework.
