Jamie Higgins Shaull ([email protected]) - Department Chair

Jamie Higgins Shaull has been the chair of the Hereford social studies department since the 2013-14 school year. Mrs. Higgins Shaull holds a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Pennsylvania State University, a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and School Library Media and an Administrator I certificate from Towson University. She currently teaches Advanced Placement Research (part of the AP Capstone program) and honors government. She is also one of the Class of 2024 advisors. Mrs. Higgins Shaull enjoys reading, traveling to the beach, renovating her home, and spending time with her husband Rob, sons Connor and Brennan, and labs Trooper and Penny.

 

Brittney Beer ([email protected])

Brittney Beer joined the Hereford High staff in the fall of 2018. After spending four years at Chesapeake High School as the Library Media Specialist, she realized that her heart was in the Social Studies classroom. Prior to her time at CHS, Mrs. Beer taught US History at Dundalk High School. Mrs. Beer holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Lebanon Valley College and a master’s degree in Instructional Technology and School Library Media from Towson University. At Hereford, Mrs. Beer teaches all levels of US history (AP, Honors, and Standard) and advises the Black Excellence Club as well. When she is not at school, Mrs. Beer enjoys spending time with her husband Eric, her two sons Raymond & Reid, and her plethora of pets.


Chase Crawford ([email protected])


Chase Crawford is a 2018 graduate of Hereford High School and a 2022 graduate of Salisbury University, where he earned a Bachelors in History - Secondary Education. He teaches GT American government and honors US history. He is the advisor for the Mock Trial Club and serves as the pitching coach for the JV boys baseball team. He enjoys talking about sports, movies/shows, and is an active nerd of video games. 


Rob Greenwood ([email protected])

Rob Greenwood is a graduate of Towson University with majors in History and Secondary Education. and he holds a graduate degree in Exercise Science/Physical Education from McDaniel College. Mr. Greenwood currently teaches AP Psychology, Personal Finance and Economic Theory (PFET) and Abnormal Psychology.  He enjoys baseball, snowboarding, guitar, SUP, and Florida summers. Mr. Greenwood is also an avid World War II enthusiast and is the advisor to the For our Troops club. He is the proud father of Makenzie and Jameson and his wife Jennifer is a mathematics professor at Carroll Community College.

 

Peter Imhoff ([email protected])

Peter Imhoff joined the social studies faculty in the 2008-2009 school year after teaching at Pikesville High School in Baltimore County for 11 years. Mr. Imhoff also taught social studies in Reading, Massachusetts and English in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. Mr. Imhoff holds a bachelor’s degree in history from Bowdoin College and a master’s degree in education from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Mr. Imhoff currently teaches AP World History and AP Human Geography. He is the sponsor of the Chess Club. Mr. Imhoff is the father of two sons, and enjoys backpacking, foreign languages, home improvement, and reading.

Sarah Looney ([email protected])

Sarah Looney joined the Hereford Social Studies faculty in 2016. Mrs. Looney holds a bachelor’s degree in social studies Secondary Education from Mount St. Mary’s University and a Masters in Instructional Technology from Towson University. Mrs. Looney currently teaches Government, AP Government and Politics, and Honors US history as well as advises the Model United Nations club. In her spare time Mrs. Looney enjoys skiing, reading, and traveling. She also loves to go hiking with her dog Rudy, husband John and son Jack.

 

Ed Martin ([email protected])

Ed Martin began his teaching career at Hereford in the Fall of 2014 after graduating from Salisbury University. Mr. Martin holds a bachelor’s degree in history- Secondary Education and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Towson University. He currently teaches AP Economics, AP European History, and Personal Finance and Economic Theory (PFET). He is the coach for Hereford's Girls Golf team and also advises the Rho Kappa National Social Studies Honors Society. In his spare time Mr. Martin enjoys golfing, going camping, reading, and playing ice hockey.

 

Marcus Robinson ([email protected])

Marcus Robinson is starting his second year at Hereford High School this year. Mr. Robinson holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from Columbia College and a Masters in Higher Education Administration from the University of Louisville. Prior to teaching at Hereford High School, Mr. Robinson served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and taught military science at McDaniel College for three years. Mr. Robinson teaches American Government (honors and GT) as well as the AP African American Studies course. He is also an advisor for the Educators Rising club at Hereford. Mr. Robinson enjoys the Buffalo Bills, exercise, Netflix, Disney +, reading, and spending time with his wife Pedrita, two sons, and dog Bella Contessa Bridget Robinson.

 

Nolan Roe ([email protected])

Nolan Roe joined the Social Studies Department at Hereford High in the fall of 2017.  He has a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education from Bowling Green State University and a master’s degree in liberal studies from Loyola University Maryland.  Prior to working at Hereford, Mr. Roe worked for BCPS at Catonsville Middle School and Western Tech High School.  He is currently teaching GT World history, AP Psychology, and honors Psychology. Outside of school, Mr. Roe resides in Harford County, is an avid NBA fan, and enjoys traveling with his wife Bunnie and children Mason and Emily.

 

Jeff Walters ([email protected])

Jeff Walters joined the Hereford Social Studies faculty in fall of 2021. Mr. Walters has taught in Baltimore County Public Schools for the past 13 years at Deer Park Middle Magnet, Lansdowne, and Pikesville Middle schools. Mr. Walters holds a bachelor’s degree in social studies Secondary Education and a master’s degree in human resource development/School Administration from Towson University. Mr. Walters teaches World History and is the varsity girls softball coach. Outside of school, he is a foodie that enjoys cooking, grilling, making art, and going hiking with his wife Jenn (who is also a teacher) twin children Sloane and Bishop, and dog Asher.
