Senior Class Information

Just a few reminders for Tuesday’s ceremonies.

  1. Doors open at 90 mins prior to the ceremony.  Everyone must have a ticket to enter.  Please read the back of the ticket for important information and prohibited items.  Everyone will have to pass through security and bag checks.
  2. Graduates report to the Towson Center (old gym adjacent to SECU Arena) one hour prior to their ceremony.  Please allow time for traffic, parking, and walking to the Towson Center.
  3. Don’t forget to make sure you have your cap, gown, and tassel.  Take the gown out of the package and hang/steam so it doesn’t appear creased or wrinkled.  Caps should not be decorated in any way.  Students may be required to purchase a new cap if they arrive with one that has been decorated.
  4. Please follow the parking map that was provided in your senior’s envelope last week.
  5. After the ceremony, graduates can meet up with their families in the courtyard outside.  Graduates are not permitted to reenter the arena.
  6. The Graduation ceremony will be live streamed on BCPS – TV.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday.  If you have any questions, please email Sharon Place at

 2021 Graduation Ceremony:

Hereford’s graduation ceremonies are scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 25th at 10:00 am (last names A-K) and 2:30 pm (last names L-Z) at Towson University’s SECU Arena.  All graduating seniors will receive 2 tickets for guests.  More details to follow.  This is subject to change according to COVID and BCPS metrics.

  • Graduation lasts approximately 1.5 hours.  Graduates should plan to meet their party in the courtyard outside the arena at the conclusion of the ceremony.  Graduates will not be allowed to enter back into the arena.

  • Everyone (including children/infants) will need a ticket to the graduation.

  • Handicap parking is by handicap permit/hangtag ONLY.  There is no drop off area. Without a handicap permit, you will need to park in general parking. Para-transit shuttles will be available to transport guests needing assistance from general parking to the arena.

  • Guests having mobility issues will be escorted to reserved seating by Towson staff upon arrival. Guests enter at the top of the general seating level, and the first rows at the top are reserved seating, so not too many steps to manage.  Wheelchair seating is available right at that entry level.  The guest needing special seating is allowed to have one member of their party sit with them during the ceremony, but the rest of the party will need to sit in general seating.
